What’s the Kodeni School Project?

A team from Folkestone has developed a comprehensive solution for children trapped by poverty in Kodeni, South West Burkina Faso. The team has raised funds for and built a primary school in partnership with Churches and schools in East Kent.

This initiative gives the children of Sabaribougou a route out of poverty and into decent jobs.

Your sponsorship will secure the education of an individual child. All of your money goes to the school. Nobody from Aid to Burkina takes anything out, we all contribute time, money or both.

Who are we?

The Kodeni School project is part of Aid to Burkina and based in Folkestone where its core team lives.

Aid to Burkina provides help for the people of one of the poorest countries of West Africa – Burkina Faso. Through projects resourcing education and health, we aim to increase the quality of life and realise the hopes and dreams of communities living in this part of the world.

Folkestone Core Team: John Bird (former Headteacher St Mary’s Primary), Jon Wilson (former CEO of Rainbow Centre), Gareth Webber (Harbour Church Pastor), John Fudge (CEO of Amor Europe), Mark Lamb (Head of School, Sibbertswold Primary), Dawn Kellers (Administrator Rainbow Centre).

The registered charity address for Aid to Burkina is 20 The Chase, Rickleton, Washington, Tyne & Wear, NE38 9DX
